Highlight of the Township of North Algona Wilberforce
North Algona Wilberforce is the modern amalgamation of the former townships of North Algona and Wilberforce. This municipality spans a large geographic area with varied terrain—ranging from arable farmland to heavily forested highlands. Settlement patterns reflect both Polish and German influences, especially in areas like Micksburg, Crooked Rapids, and Rankin.
While agriculture has been a longstanding economic base, the township also contains important recreational and seasonal-use properties, particularly near the Bonnechere River and its tributaries.
